Can you help Parafed Auckland to become a well-known charity? We are searching for an ambitious and proactive Fundraiser to join our growing team. If you are looking for a fresh challenge and would like to support our programme of activities so that we can enable more disabled people to enjoy sport and recreation then please apply.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the post holder will play a key role in the implementation of our Fundraising plan that targets SMEs and individual donors as well as looking for key sponsors for our programmes and events.

This is an exciting time to join our small but focused team with ample opportunities to make your mark and take the lead on fundraising for the organisation.

  • Lead on the Parafed Auckland fundraising strategy

  • Contact warm and cold leads to generate new areas of income

  • Meet with potential donors to establish relationships

  • Generate new and creative ideas for fundraising

  • Promote and sell Parafed Auckland led programmes and activities

  • Seek investment and sponsorship for Parafed Auckland Annual Awards Night

  • Work with The Communications Manager to use social media

  • Help organise and promote and sell events

  • Provide creative and operational support for key projects and campaigns

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant experience in Fundraising, preferably gained in the charity sector

  • Experience of campaign development and management to support brand awareness and fundraising goals

  • Proficient in using social media marketing & communications

  • Eye for design and ability to produce in-house marketing materials as required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organisational skills
