Board Appointments Bring Exciting New Skills to Parafed Auckland

Parafed Auckland is delighted to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board of Trustees.  Parafed Auckland is a not-for-profit organisation which provides sporting and recreational opportunities for people with physical disabilities.

Kari Jones and Angela Nash will join the board following the recent retirement of long-serving board members Grant Sharman, Robert Berger and Lee Warn.

Kari Jones

Kari has a background in digital and data transformation and is currently Senior Manager, Data Science at Air New Zealand. She also has a strong record in high performance sports having played and coached Lacrosse at an international level both in New Zealand and the UK.

Kari is also a board member for the Youthline Auckland Charitable Trust – Te Ara Taiohi Hakatapu Kia ora ai and a Working Group Member of the AI Forum NZ.

Angela Nash

Angela is an experienced executive, director and active advocate for the NZ Technical Leadership Community. Angela is the Chief Information Operating Officer for REANNZ, a technology organisation powering the global transfer of academic, educational and scientific information.

Angela is also a member of the NZTech Board and Co-Chair of the Faucet Foundation Board.

Kari and Angela’s experience will bring new skill sets to the board as we look towards consolidating and building on Parafed Auckland’s 50-year history of serving the region’s disability community.

Parafed Auckland is New Zealand’s oldest and largest disability sport organisation.  We lead a network of sports clubs and activity providers catering for our membership group and their families.  We are the primary organisation for all physical disability sport in Auckland, providing pathways and opportunities for beginners through to Paralympic champions.
