The 62nd ISPS Handa Halberg Awards!

On Tuesday 18th February, we attended the Halberg Awards which is a celebration of all the remarkable achievements of athletes, teams, and coaches across New Zealand. A massive congratulations to Anna Grimaldi on winning ISPS Handa Para Athlete/Para Team of the Year Award! Anna won gold in the T47 200m at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

There were so many memorable moments, but what resonated most with us was the emphasis on supporting people living with disabilities to participate in sport, recreation, and play. This evening reminded us of the importance of the work we do as Parafeds & Disability Sport organisations and why we’re committed to creating more opportunities within the community. There is so much positive influence in the community and there’s no better time than the present to help develop clear and strong pathways for athletes to compete in grassroots sport through to elite-level competition.

We’re super excited for the Halberg Games coming up in a couple of months and cannot wait to bring an even bigger team than last year!
