2021 Spirit of Parafed Award Finalists

Congratulations to our 2021 Spirit of Parafed Award Finalists, Neelam O'Neill, Barney Koneferenisi, and Sionann Murphy!

The spirit of Parafed Award is someone that always engages in new opportunities, seeks to support and include other members, displays sportsmanship, has contributed as an ambassador to Parafed Auckland and actively pursues inclusion and accessibility in the community.

Neelam O’Neill

Neelam is always friendly, always positive, supportive of others and has been a great ambassadors for Parafed Auckland. Neelam has been nominated for her resilience, courage and determination.

Barney Koneferenisi

Barney always trained hard in the lead up to the games and was a standout performer during every match. He always acknowledged his team mates during interviews to ensure people understood that this was a team sport and they are a team (not a group of individuals).

Sionann Murphy

Sionann shows all the values of being the spirit of Parafed. She is a caring soul, who loves to encourage those around her to engage in sport. She is on her way to excelling within swimming and athletics and has big goals for the future. Although she has these big goals, she continues to shine off the track or pool to be a leader of others. She always makes sure those around her are happy and she is the biggest cheerleader for others
