What’s happening at Parafed Auckland next week?

Halberg Games:

We are now 6 weeks away from the start of the Halberg Games! Make sure you check out our awesome pre-programme events coming up across the next 6 weeks. Sign up to be a part of the Parafed Auckland team! Our first Netball event is coming up on the 21st of March!

 

Netball alongside Auckland Netball:

What: Try out a new sport with some fun skills and games with the awesome team at Auckland Netball.

Where: Indoor Courts, Auckland Netball Centre, Allison Ferguson Drive

When: Sunday 21st March, 10am – 12pm.

Who: 5-21 year old’s with any disability.

Cost: FREE!

Athletics:

What: Come together with others from across Auckland to improve your skills in the lead up to Halberg Games

Where: North Harbour Bays Athletics Club, AUT Millenium, 17 Antares Place, Mairangi Bay

When: Sunday 21st March, 11.30am – 1.00pm

Who: Young people 5+, all abilities.

 

Table Tennis:

What: Develop your skills with the fantastic coaches from Table Tennis NZ. The sessions are designed to suit all abilities with a clear pathway for performance.

Where: Manurewa Table Tennis Club, 3 McVilly Road, Manurewa

When: Saturday 13th March, 12.30pm – 2.30pm
Who:
All ages and abilities.

Cost: $25 members, $30 non-members. 

 

Strength & Conditioning:

South & North locations held weekly. Consisting of different bodyweight and resistance exercises and varying intensity.

Open to ages 8+ and all abilities.

South: Every Wednesday, 4.30pm – 5.30pm at Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit Gym, 30 Bairds Road, Otara

North: Every Friday, 4.15pm – 5.15pm at Massey University Recreation Centre Fitness Studio, 5 University Ave, Albany

 

Inclusive After School Club:

  • What: Our inclusive afterschool programme is all about developing fundamental movement skills and introducing different sports in a fun, inclusive environment. No two sessions are the same!

  • Who: For children with any disability or impairment. Most suitable for 5-11 years. Siblings are welcome too!

  • Cost: Free!!

  • Stonefields School:

    • Monday 15th March

    • 3:45pm- 4:30pm

  • Mt Roskill Primary:

    • Wednesday 17th March

    • 3:15pm-4:00pm

    • Frost Road, Mt Roskill, Auckland

      Note: The Inclusive Afterschool Mt. Roskill Club will only resume in Level 1

Boccia Programme.

  • What: Boccia is a precision ball sport, related to bowls and pétanque. It’s one of the most inclusive sports in the world. Our programme is designed to develop the skills of all players, new and old!

  • Who: All ages and ability.

  • Cost: $20 members / $25 non members

  • Where:

South

  • Thursday 18th March, 4.30pm – 6.00pm

Central

  • Blind Low Vision NZ, Awhina House, 4 Mansell Road, Parnell

  • Tuesday 16th March, 4.30pm – 6.00pm
