Parafed Auckland 2021 Youth Award Finalists

Congratulations to our 2021 Parafed Auckland Youth Award Finalists, Jhia Lee, Blessing Mata, and Pierte Meredith-Vaueli!

Jhia Lee

Jhia is one of the sweetest kids within the Parafed Auckland programmes. She often starts out quiet, but quickly becomes a ball of energy once she is comfortable. We have seen Jhia create amazing friendships during the Halberg Games, Junior Monthly Programmes and Boccia West. She is easy to get along with and always has a smile on her face no matter what sport of activity she is doing.

Blessing Mata

The progress that Blessing has made throughout 2021 continues to amaze us. He first got involved in Parafed Auckland after seeing an advertisement for the Halberg Games. He has told us that he was hesitant that the beginning to get involved, but is glad he did because "Parafed is the best". Since the Halberg Games, Blessing has come out of his shell and now gets involved whenever he can. He has interest in basketball and wheelchair rugby and hopes that one day he can attend a wheelchair rugby session.

Pierte Meredith-Vaueli

Pierte is a shining star. She has the most amazing manners and aura about her, and is a leader in the making. She shines not only within her sport of swimming, but gives everything else a go with all her effort. She is kind and caring towards others and makes sure everyone is included whenever she is around.
